Toy Tuesday: LeapFrog Line Up!

There are a lot of LeapFrog products out there. These are my current top favorite LeapFrog Products for the holidays and for birthday gifts throughout the year: LeapFrog TV, LeapPad Platinum or Epic, The LeapFrog Word Whammer, The LeapFrog Number Lovin’ Oven, and the LeapFrog Build and Discover Tool Box.
You can see my whole review video here!

But here are brief descriptions of each of my ‘Froggy’ favorites:
LeapTV: If your kids are not quite ready for a traditional gaming system like the Wii, XBox or PlayStation, then this is a good starter. I believe in gaming systems for kids, as long as screen time is in moderation and the content is appropriate. LeapFrog content for the LeapTV is right on point. Not only do kids learn the skill set of gaming with controllers, but it gets kids active while learning math, counting, spelling, building, reading and more – with many of their favorite Disney and Nick characters guiding them in learning. Kids want to play, parents want them to learn and be active, and this checks all the boxes. (Kids 3+, MSRP $99.99)
Special Tip: Make sure to pick up an extra controller and consider stashing a LeapTV at Grandma’s house.

LeapPad Platinum: With its robust parental controls, 8MB of storage, sturdy construction, WiFi access and licensed gaming content, this is one of the most comprehensive tablets in the market. Alternatively, consider the LeapPad Epic which has more storage and an Android operating system. (Kids 3+, MSRP $129.99)
Special Tip: Sign up for the LeapFrog special updates as there are a lot of app specials throughout the year to stretch your dollar.

Word Whammer: With its nod to a handheld gaming system, this little toy packs a lot of reading, spelling and letter sounds in its structure. Perfect for kids entering kindergarten, kids feel like they are playing with a small video game when in actuality they are learning early reading concepts. (Ages 4+, MSRP $19.99)
Special Tip: Stash one in the car for on-the-go travel fun.

Number Lovin’ Oven: With 16+ ingredients, budding bakers can enjoy pretend play with lots of learning baked in. The Number Lovin’ Oven talks, sings and gets number skills cooking through 30+ songs and phrases. Kids can learn to share, count and have respect for the kitchen while whipping up pretend cupcakes, eggs over easy, or a loaf of bread. When it is time to clean up, all the pieces can be stored right in the oven. (Kids 2+, MSRP $19.99)
Special Tip: Put the oven in the kitchen and while you bake, they can pretend to bake along with you with their own ‘oven’.

Build and Discover Tool Box: Budding builders can learn to recognize basic tools and how they work, while helping Scout build his house. Count, measure, match colors and use 5 handy tools while learning measurements, refining motor skills and pretending be a real tinkerer! The roof acts as a carrying handle so kids can tinker anywhere, and all of the tools can store inside for easy storage. (Kids 2+, MSRP $19.99)
Special Tip: If doing work around the house, have your little construction worker take along his tool set so s/he can work along side you on your home improvement projects!

So these are my current favorite, but there are a lot more LeapFrog Products to consider. Hopefully some of these satisfy your gift giving needs this holiday season and beyond, but stay tune for the newest LeapFrog products in 2016! They are guaranteed to be amazing!
