Sprout Is Set to Become Universal Kids

NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment announced Sprout is rebranding to become Universal Kids.

Universal Kids

sprout universal kidsThe Universal Kids network will go live on September 9, 2017. The channel will be a destination for kids and family programming. The channel will include titles from DreamWorks Animation Television. The collaboration kicks off with the launches of two Emmy® Award-winning series. One is All Hail King Julien and the other is DreamWorks Dragons: Riders of Berk, based on the popular “How To Train Your Dragon” franchise. The debut of Top Chef Junior in October 2017 will anchor the Universal Kids lineup.
Sprout will still be a trusted preschool destination on the channel. Starting in the fall, Sprout will be a daily programming block for preschoolers from 3am to 6pm. You can find it across all platforms, including on air, online, and On Demand. When on the go, find it via mobile with the Sprout Now and Sprout Playground apps. After 6pm, the programming will then be for the older grade-school crowd. Look for lots of new shows with more consistent programming based on age and time of day!
