Roly Poly Balls

I have a little boy who seems to be bent on destroying the house. Toys that aren’t designed to be thrown, ricochet off the floor. In the eyes of a 17 month old, that 10 pound plastic toy is totally fun to toss against the wall. Those wooden toys I was buying because I wanted to be eco-friendly, are now leaving huge dents in the wall.
Nice.
Needless to say, it is the downside of being a parent. All the hard work in buying and decorating a home pretty much comes undone as soon as they start to move. (From what I hear, it lasts until they are 18. Or longer.)
So I have resigned myself to the destruction, but it doesn’t mean I can’t minimize it from time to time. Which is why I fell in love with these Roly Poly Balls. You can roll them, throw them and shake them, but since they are polarfleece balls, the sound they make when they are thrown against the wall is – well nothing. Just a soft thud and a little jingle from the chimes inside.
Ahhh, bliss.

They retail for about $30/for 3, though you can find them cheaper if you do a Google, Yahoo or Amazon search.
