The New Cabbage Patch Kids for 2015
As a child of the 1980s, I sought, found and played with Cabbage Patch Kids. I was one of those children that was a mega fan and loved playing with my Cabbage Patch Kids. They have been around in various forms since then, but with new branding for 2015, the main Cabbage Patch Kids line is going back to its roots in the patch.
The story behind the Cabbage Patch Kids was about adoption, about nurture, and about love, and the New Cabbage Patch Kids for 2015 is bringing that mission to the forefront again.
There will be baby accessories to care for your Cabbage Patch Kid.
The face designs will be more engaging and are aimed to make you smile and want to take a little baby home. (This one made me grin from ear to ear.)
There will also be the classic kids with the yarn hair, and even limited edition Cabbage Patch Kids where only a couple thousand will be made and only available on one day. They are also going into the 18 inch doll category too.
There are Cuties with rainforest themed styling, and are a fun alternative to a stuffed animal for a baby. They are the magic of life before they are born in the Patch.
Yet, the one big things for the Cabbage Patch Kid line is the new Adoptimals. It is similar in concept to those animal Cabbage Patch Kids in the 1980s called Koosas. In addition to adopting Cabbage Patch Kids, you can adopt animals and Adopt a Pet is a proud Partner to support real life animal adoption. A fun addition is that certain Cabbage Patch Kids will come with keys, which can unlock the heart on the Adoptimal, and enable engagement with each other.
Also check out their newborn line that drinks and wets, and the Performer line where the Cabbage Patch Kid dances, and sings “I Feel Good” by James Brown. I have to admit, I am not a fan of the dancing Cabbage Patch Kid, as it is not as soft and engaging of a doll, with which to role play and nuture, as much as it is just a toy. But if that is what you are looking for, it is rather cute.
I hope they come out with more clothes for the Cabbage Patch Kids and more accessories, like sunglasses, glasses, mittens, hat, coats, etc. It was the fun I had with my Cabbage Patch Kids back in the day.
Otherwise, I’m excited about the possibilities of the Cabbage Patch line in 2015 and beyond, and can’t wait to share my love of them with my own daughter.
