Last month, our family embarked on an unforgettable vacation at Beaches Resort Turks and Caicos. We were drawn to its family-friendly atmosphere and top-rated kids programs, especially the immersive Sesame Street Camp. Our adventure was filled with laughter, exploration, and creative experiences, making it a standout getaway.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the range of activities designed specifically for kids. The resort features multiple pools, water slides, splash zones, and access to a beautiful ocean—all perfect for keeping little ones entertained. A major highlight of our trip was the Sesame Street Camp. Imagine your child joining Cookie Monster to bake cookies, create recycled art with Oscar, have a birthday party for Elmo, or go on a fun bird-watching adventure with Big Bird. The characters, including Zoe, the Count, and Elmo, were always around! Additionally, the camp offers:

It is not a published requirement, but the caregivers informed us of the drop-off times for the best acclimation for kids not staying the full day. Then, the camp closes down from 5-6 pm for staff cleaning/organization. It reopens at 6 pm and stays open until 10 pm for nighttime activities like movies, dinner, pajama parties, and piñata parties. You do not have to make reservations, and they don’t turn kids away, so you don’t have to worry about which days or times your kids will (or won’t be in camp). You can go with the vacation flow, which is the best part of a vacation! Not being subject to schedules, right?
The camp rooms are separated by age range, so there is no worry about a 1-year-old getting trampled by a 4-year-old. All in all, when our kids went to the kids’ camp, they had more opportunities for play and activities like building sand castles or looking for shells, learning to snorkel, and playing with other kids. While they had fun learning and playing (my son loved “using his imagination,” as he said), my husband and I got time for sailing or scuba diving.
Of course, there were pool tables, Foose ball and air hockey tables, shuffleboard, and an activity hut with board games. Lastly, there is an XBox club that offers opportunities for screen time. Whether sunny or rainy, there was no shortage of things for kids to do.
Overall, the Sesame Camp made the vacation. As parents, we had downtime but a vacation with our kids. Our kids got to do more things than just build sand castles for seven days, too.
